Our specialist team is often supported by a panel of advisors who are leading figures in their sectors. We invest our capital alongside other capital raised from leading institutional investors and high net worth individuals.
The Merchant Banking team focuses on businesses requiring private equity, mezzanine or bridge debt to finance internal growth, acquisitions, management/leveraged buyouts (MBO/LBO) and recapitalizations.
The professionals within the Merchant Banking team have a diverse range of investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, legal, consulting and industry specific experience. In addition we leverage our long-standing relationships with companies, investors, entrepreneurs and financial intermediaries who are active in emerging countries.
Our Merchant Banking team is advantaged by being able to quickly identify, analyze and respond to opportunities to fund equity investments and loans. Many companies in which we invest will have an investment banking relationship with Sterling Merchant Finance. By providing capital, we are often able to leverage these investments into longer-term, more profitable relationships.
